ConneXions' program is designed for young people interested in arts, activism, and in-depth learning. Prospective ConneXions students should have a strong desire to become an expert in their artistic/athletic field, though there are no audition or entrance requirements. ConneXions students are frequently called upon to be activists and leaders of social change within our ConneXions' community, around Baltimore, and farther afield. Finally, all students are seen as intellectuals at ConneXions, capable of original thought and knowledge construction. The most successful ConneXions students are able to make a personal commitment to arts, activism, and in-depth learning and are intrinsically motivated to succeed in these fields.


ConneXions' culture is based on relationships and connections. Students and staff alike take pride in the culture of the school in which community is emphasized and each person feels safe and valued. The typical ConneXions community member, whether student or staff, is a creative, thoughtful, independent thinker, engaged in learning and willing to be a positive member of our community.
