What are exhibitions?

Exhibitions are a time for your child to present significant pieces of work or knowledge to a panel of staff and outside experts. The point is for the student to demonstrate their understanding and knowledge of the content and skills required for mastery of a given subject. Students in most classes prepare papers, projects, or other significant pieces of work. In all classes, students make oral presentations to the panel and respond to selected questions from the panel. Students must demonstrate mastery of the content in order to do well in exhibitions. 

Exhibition Policies

  • Mid-year and end of the year exhibitions are counted as the mid-term exam grade at ConneXions. All students in grades 10-12 must exhibit. 
  • Attendance is mandatory. 
  • Students who do not show up for their exhibition will not be rescheduled without a doctor’s note. 
  • The grade for an unexcused missed exhibition 0, which counts 20% of each class’s semester grade.

  • The dress for exhibitions is business attire. For boys, this means jacket and tie, solid colored button-down shirt, belt, dress pants and dress shoes. For girls, this means dress shirt or sweater, dressy skirt or pants, and dressy closed-toe shoes with a moderate heel. Girls should wear jackets if they have them
